Newbie Cast Iron Crew team member Michael Clough started working for Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute in October 2020. Based in the Eastern Shore area of Maryland, Mike covers the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States: Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
He comes to the Institute having worked in PVF manufacturing and insulation for mechanical/plumbing applications for seven years. In addition to the deep educational immersion from CISPI, he relies on trusted industry contacts for information.
“It’s fascinating to delve so deep into the DNA of model/plumbing codes that make or break a project – to learn the ‘why’ and not just the ‘how’ of the codes.”
Thanks to his wife’s business in decorated cookies, Mike has attended two CookieCons, the Cookie Art Convention and Show. (He notes that this is the perfect place for single guys because the ratio of women to men is 500 to 1). Still, soft chocolate chip cookies are his favorite – the perfect finale to a Mission BBQ meal.
In his free time, Mike enjoys working out, listening to country music and going RVing with the family to peaceful state parks or even Disney World. The high school wrestling coach and former power lifter also likes to chill out to episodes of The Muppet Show with his wife, two sons and 2 cats, Howard and Lovey.
