All drain waste, vent, sewer and storm lines shall be of cast iron soil pipe and fittings and shall conform to the requirements of CISPI Standard 301, ASTM A888 or ASTM A74, (latest editions). Pipe and fittings shall be marked with the collective trademark of the Cast Iron Soil Pipe Institute® or receive prior approval of the engineer.
Joints for hubless cast iron soil pipes and fittings shall conform to the manufacturer’s installation instructions, the CISPI Standard 310, latest revision and be certified by NSF® for compliance to CISPI 310 or receive prior approved as equal by the design professional. Hubless coupling gaskets shall conform to ASTM Standard C564.
